The foundation of this educational path was laid by the famous Swiss master Peter Hess, a historic figure in international floral design and founder of Atelier 5, celebrated globally for his artistic vision, deep appreciation of raw materials, and exceptional pedagogical skill. In 2010, Vincenzo Antonuccio and Marilena Calbini recognized the immense potential of this methodology. Upon earning their diplomas in Switzerland, they set out to expand this educational philosophy internationally, giving the school a broader, contemporary scope. Since then, the program has evolved into a premier educational pathway combining technical precision with creative expression, elevating floral design into a true visual language.
The program begins with a meticulous study of proportions, shapes, color theory, and textures, expanding into architectural styles across eras and fine art fundamentals, shaping natural materials into plastic-like sculptures and re-imagine botanical elements as organic, fluid forms. Alongside theory, there is a lot of importance given to technical skills which are explained and applied from module to module, aligning students with current international floral art standards — essential for building dexterity, accuracy, and creative intuition.
