Floral Week Opatija – Europe's hub for contemporary floral art
The founder, project visionary, and chief organizer of the event is Christina Cianci Žerić, an internationally recognized floral designer. Every year, the festival gathers the very elite of both local and global floral scenes.
Exhibitions & Conceptual Installations
The creative epicenter of the festival is the historic Juraj Šporer Art Pavilion. Within its walls, world-award-winning master florists construct monumental spatial installations and sculptures crafted from live botanical materials. Each edition explores a specific artistic theme—ranging from interpretations of Impressionist classics to bold ventures into surrealism.
Spectacular Floral Fashion Event
The ultimate visual and artistic highlight of the festival is a one-of-a-kind floral fashion show — a fusion of haute couture, avant-garde floral design, and performing arts. Models showcase unique, living creations constructed entirely from fresh flowers and natural textures, accompanied by performances by dancers and artists. The artistic director of the show is Marilena Calbini.
